BA - President/Director, Chairman of the Board

Scott co-founded Hannah’s Hands International, Inc., with his sister, Lorraine, in 2006. Scott has served as the President of Hannah’s Hands since 2008 and has served as the chairman of the Board of Directors since 2017.

Scott graduated with majors in both Bible and Business Management. Over time his career has spanned project management, organizational leadership, and benefits management. He also has building and remodeling experience.

He has served as president on the board of two Christian organizations, was a three-time CEF summer missionary, taught Children Bible classes for 25 years, for years has led Men’s ministry, and now is a consultant for Men’s Ministries. Also, he helped small businesses with their benefits.

Scott currently teaches discipleship of believers, and mentors, as well as builds guitars.

Lorraine McNeill

Lorraine McNeill

MSN, ANP-BC, Vice President, Board of Directors, Missionary to El Salvador , ES Operations Office

Lorraine co-founded Hannah’s Hands International, Inc. with her brother, Scott, in 2006. Initially serving as the President (2006- 2008) and Chairperson of the Board of Director (2006-2012). Through November 2008. Since 2008, Lorraine has served as a missionary in El Salvador under the direction of New Life Church. In 2022-23 (as lengthy process) Lorraine has served as the Vice President of Hannah’s Hands, the Board of Directors since 2006, and the El Salvador lead missionary and El Salvador Operation Officer (2023).

Lorraine received her Master’s in Nursing (Critical Care) from the University of Pennsylvania and her Post Master’s – Adult Nurse Practitioner from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She has extensive experience in Critical Care, Cardiac Care, and Trauma Care as well as Nursing Education. Lorraine continues her Certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She desires that all people actively participate in their healthcare.

Lorraine received her Bible education from Moody Bible Institute’s Distance Learning in 2008. Lorraine has extensive experience in teaching children, youth, and ladies Bible classes. Her passion and desire is to see people become true disciples of Christ Jesus. She is the one who guides the team and is the leader in discipling new believers in Christ. 

 

James (Jim) Jacobs

James (Jim) Jacobs

MD - Medical Director

Jim is an Internist practicing primary care medicine in Cary.

He met Lorraine when he and his wife, Kimmie, went on a mission trip with The Sheperde’s Church in 2008 and has been on the board of Hannah’s Hands since its early days.

Jim and Kimiie returned to El Salvador with others from The Sheperd’s Church in November 2021, 2022, and 2023. Jim has preached, led medical education sessions, and helped in Vacation Bible School and Medical Clinic Outreach.

Wing Ng

MD - Director

Wing is a first-generation Chinese American who came from Hong Kong as a child. He grew up in a Christian home and became a Christian during his teenage years.  His father and grandmother both became Christians as a result of missionary efforts in China.

After years of education, Wing obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He went on to specialize in the area of rehabilitation medicine, focusing on helping people to recover from life-threatening brain injuries.  He has been a physician in Raleigh since 2005.  Wing is a devoted husband and father of two girls, one of whom was born with Down Syndrome.  He has been active in advocating for children with special needs and in pro-life and education issues. He currently serves on the Wake County Board of Education, helping to direct the education of future generations.

During his college years, he had the opportunity to participate in short-term mission trips. His family continues to be mission-minded and support various organizations.

He began his involvement with Hannah’s Hands as a monthly donor and prayer partner.  He is blessed to be a part of the board of Hannah’s Hands and to provide medical direction for Lorraine as she cares for the physical needs of the people.

Jan Castro

Secretary

Jan is a certified elementary school teacher and has taught classes and/or has tutored individual students for many years in a variety of school subjects, including ESL. She continues to tutor elementary age children through adults in southern Wake County.

Starting as a young girl through adult age, Jan has participated in various short-term mission trips. After graduating from college, Jan served as a Missionary Journeyman. She lived in Uruguay, South America for 2 years working with children and youth while learning the Spanish language.

Because of her first-hand knowledge of missions, she has strongly encouraged her own children and grandchildren to be mission-minded and support those on the field by “holding the rope” (through prayer, financial support, or personal encouragement).

She presently uses her knowledge of Spanish to teach/tutor homeschooled, public or private students.
She also translates documents for Hannah’s Hands Int’l when necessary.

James (Jim) Gellatly

Treasurer

Jim received his accounting degree from the University of North Carolina – Charlotte and his Master’s in Business Administration from Harriet Watt University Edinburgh School of Business. He has served as the Executive Director for Regional Pain Management and Physical Rehab Medical Practice for many years.

He is active in an Adult Bible Fellowship Bible Study group in his church. He also has served for many years as the Treasurer for the Atlantic Coast Conference Hockey League.

His goal as Treasurer of Hannah’s Hands is to help facilitate the efforts of the Hannah’s Hands team to spread the Gospel is El Salvador.
